RACE ENTRIES FAQ’S

how it works

  • You can enter 1 race or all 8 there is no minimum.

    The more races you enter and race at the more points collected for the overall podiums and prize poole.

    • Eventbrite has been set up to manage race numbers/grading for the Summer Spritz Admin Team.

    • You must also enter via Entryboss to ensure host club recieves entry fee.

    • Summer Spritz Handicapping may differ to clubs individual clubs handicapping.

    • Participants are to enter their expected grade for the entire series Via eventbrite - Your race number will reflect this.

    • We note some clubs have their own handicapping on entryboss. Your grade may vary between Summer Spritz Series and what an individual club has you set as. Do not worry about this. Your Summer Spritz Grade will be the grade you race as.

    • Fees set by each club and funds are handled directly by each club (WMNS Racing Collaborative Inc. does not receive any funds from entries)

    • Custom (pin on) race numbering will be provided for the overall series races only.

    • These will be distributed before the racers first race. Each racer is to look after this for the entire series. *This will help us keep track of consistent grading between races. It will also mean the clubs will not have to change their entry boss handicapping if an arrangement is already in place

    • Summer Spritz Race numbering is to manage our series grading and points system only. They are not Aus Cycling approved.

    • Racers are expected to wear and use clubs race numbers and timing chips as usual along side Summer Spritz numbers.

other fAQ’S

  • Anyone! We welcome new riders/ masters/ seasoned racers and even triathletes/runners that have a road bike and want to learn.

    This is like any other club race, the clubs host the race, but this race is just apart of an overall series.

    Note - Club members vs non-members may have varying entry fees. Each club is different.

  • We welcome all women oif all ages to join. This series has been developed to build our community.

  • All racing requires an AUS CYCLING LICENCE TO COVER INSURANCES.

  • Please do not let this stop you from joining. We can allocate a grade you are comfortable in and can work with you from there. We will have marshalls to guide you around your first 1-2 races.

WMNS Racing Collaborative Inc. has been created to foster the growth and sustainability of women’s cycling across both metropolitan and regional Victoria.

We aim to showcase the talents and diversity of our local grassroots racing culture while creating meaningful connections between women from various clubs.

Our objectives include:

  • Increasing consistent participation and attendance at races,

  • Promoting the involvement of women in local and regional racing, and

  • Encouraging women to explore new race experiences in different areas.
